Historical
- Hilary, excerpt 1 is actually an excerpt from a much longer piece. The piece posted is the first sexual encounter between Hilary and Nicholas. It was one of those pieces where, when I had finished, I looked at it and said, "Oh my God, I did not write that." (posted 23 October 1997)
- Hilary, excerpt 2 is obviously a another excerpt from the same piece. I hope there's some improvement in this one. It's a scene much, much later in the piece. Since the characters have matured a bit more, I'm hoping that so has my writing. (posted 31 October 1997)
Contemporary
- Ella, Part 1 is finished. (posted 23 October 1997)
- Elise, I've been told, is kind of depressing because it's about a break-up. However, it's still pretty good, if I do say so myself. And I do. ;-) (posted 23/31 October 1997)
- Elise, excerpt 2 is part of the result of people constantly asking me to finish the story and to give it a happy ending. (posted 14 July 1997)
- Alexa, excerpt 1 is also part of a much longer piece that is still untitled. The scene posted is their "first date." Dinner's done and over with, and after a little conversation, Guy seduces Alexa in a rather unique way, I think. (posted 23 October 1997)
- Alexa, excerpt 2 is a bit later in the same piece. Alexa this time wakes up to one hell of a bout of make-up sex...sort of. (posted 24 October 1997)
- Anne is also an excerpt from a longer piece. This is Anne and Dave's first sexual encounter in her hotel room. (posted 23 October 1997)
- A Hallowe'en Tale is a little piece I thought would be apropos for this time of year-All Hallows' Eve. I finished just in time! And you could probably tell it was a rushed job done while I was half-asleep, too. (posted 27/31 October 1997)
- An excerpt from The West Wind doesn't contain any sexual intercourse, but it kind of sets the mood for the next part I'll be posting eventually. It's still a nice piece, I believe, and worth glancing over. (Warning: NO SEX!) (posted 10 January 1998)
- Façades is a relatively long piece. It's a detective fiction story I wrote some years ago (i.e. grade 7), so it's corny, cliched, and...well, read and see for yourself. I'm sorry, but I was young and didn't know better!
- The Morning After is...well, I'm sure the title should give you an idea of what it should be. ;-) (posted 1 February 1998)
- Making Sacrifices. This is based upon actual facts...if you can call it that. (posted 5 March 1998)
- Homecoming was supposed to be a continuation of the "West Wind" epilogue. It didn't turn out that way. (posted 20 April 1998)
- Now? is a quickie about a couple, a movie theatre, and a steamy Antonio Banderas movie. (posted 20 April 1998)
- I took this prologue and, eight years later, expanded it into Before Dawn. (posted 1 January 1999)
- This untitled short story, called "Madison" for easy reference, is so obviously something I wrote after breaking up with an ex-significant other. (Warning: NO SEX!) (posted 17 February 1999)
- Ella, Part 2 is a continuation of Ella, Part 1 (aka, "On the Dance Floor"). Here, Ella finally learns the name of her stranger after a "long" time. Fate has them meeting, again, and, naturally, sparks--and lust--happen. I wanted this to have a somewhat better ending than my real life. It's fiction, after all, and I'm in charge in this world. :-) (posted 3 March 2000)
- Excerpt from Fall Dead. (posted 7 October 2000)
- Another excerpt from Fall Dead. This excerpt gives another taste of the feel of the book. (Warning: NO SEX!) (posted 4 September 2005)
- Chapter One from Fall Dead. (Warning: NO SEX!) (posted 16 February 2007)
- La règle d'or (Translation: The Golden Rule). At one time in my life, I used French often enough that I felt comfortable writing short stories in said language. This piece is so over the top that one day I'll have to do something more with it. (Warning: NO SEX!) (posted 19 March 2007)
- Un vent de liberté is the original French version of The West Wind excerpt. The literal translation is "A Wind of Freedom", but that doesn't sound as pretty in English as it does in French, so I took some licence with a very appropriate title from Percy Bysshe Shelley (and if you know why it's so apropos, then you spent too much time analyzing dead poets like I did during high school). This excerpt is one of my favorite pieces, in any language. (Warning: NO SEX!) (posted 19 March 2007)
- The Noose. Some men handle the delivery room better than others. (Warning: NO SEX!) (posted 19 March 2007)
- Rivalry is the beginning of my obsession with NYC and darker personalities. (Warning: NO SEX!) (posted 19 March 2007)
- Give and Take is an excerpt from a current WIP about a former cat burglar who finds out that coming out of retirement is not as easy as she thinks--especially when she finds herself at the mercy of a mark who wants something in return. (Warning: NO SEX!) (posted 1 July 2007)
